Yarn Bombing & Clothing Swap

  • Roosevelt Park 2200 Michigan Avenue Detroit, MI, 48216 United States (map)

Yarn Bombing is the act of knitting separate shapes and stitching them into a communal piece around a public object. Often you'll find trees, lamposts, fences and bikeracks that have been Yarn Bombed.

This weekend we are reconvening at our pop-up living room in Roosevelt Park to do more bombing! Beginners are welcome, but we encourage everyone to bring their own supplies.

Suggested items:
-Medium to Thick Yarn (covers more area, faster!)
-Medium to large knitting needles
-Picnic Blanket
-A Friend

Join us for a nice Saturday out in nature, meet some nice people, and learn a new skill! Crochet, macrame and weaving also highly encouraged! We will have some guest "Teachers" also offering some skill trade lessons in the greenspace.

This will be recurring every other Saturday for the month of June, weather permitting!
