Hand-embroidering products for the Civilla Store

During my fellowship with Civilla, my personal Capstone Project was to create the Civilla Store, where I had the freedom to design and materialize any product line I wanted.  I used this as an opportunity to not only utilize my cultivated talents, but to create another medium in which we could attempt to answer the question, "Who Is Civilla?"

Teaching Macrame to students of the Peery Matriculation School, Tamil Nadu India

While serving for the Non-profit org Rising Star Outreach, I mentored students and assisted in the creation of the school's Arts & Crafts Club. To date, the school now has a thriving student interest in the arts, and has even created a school store selling the hand made crafts and artistic pieces of the students to traveling volunteers.
My mother and I also conceived, fund raised and developed their Life Skills Course, which teaches students creative skills that can be relied upon instead of panhandling, the common fate of the Leprosy Affected.

Once dry, ironing the shirt will seal the design to the fabric.
